<br />City of Centerville <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 27,2006 <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Terway, to direct <br />Administrator Larson to submit a Letter of Support as requested by the North <br />Anoka Meals on Wheels. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />4. Press Publications Request to be Appointed/Designated as the City's Legal Paper <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Terway, seconded by Council Member Paar, to <br />desi2Date the Quad Communitv Press as the official newspaper for 2007. All in <br />favor. Motion carried 4-1 (Councilmember Paar opposed). <br /> <br />Council Member Paar stated it would be nice if the paper would report more positive <br />articles about the City of Centerville. He noted he was not happy with the paper. <br /> <br />5. Anoka County Integrated Waste Management Agreement for Residential <br />Recycling Program 2007 & Recommended Language Modification <br /> <br />Mayor Capra stated they were requesting under item 7, page 3, reimbursement for <br />purchasing and utilizing recycled products (i.e. playground equipment, safety zone <br />material, picnic tables, etc.) while educating citizens in public areas. Administrator <br />Larson noted this agreement is with all of the cities and if they attempted to revise the <br />language, he did not believe it would go very far. <br /> <br />City Attorney Glaser recommended they not approve this until the County also made <br />some conceSSIOns. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra recommended Administrator Larson send a letter to the other participating <br />municipalities regarding the proposed language change. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Council to table consideration of the Anoka County Integrated <br />Waste Management Agreement for the Residential Recycling Program 2007. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Terway, seconded by Council Member Parr, to direct <br />staff to contact the 21 participatin2 municipalities ofthe Anoka County Solid Waste <br />Advisory Committee with re2ard to the proposed lan2ua2e they want in'serted into <br />the A2reement re2ardin2 the Score Funds. All in Favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Terway, seconded by Council Member Paar, to direct <br />staff to send a letter to Ms. Smith reQUestin2 the task force meet bi-monthly or <br />Quarterly. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Council Packet contained a letter requesting bi-monthlv meetings and same was <br />forwarded to Ms. Smith prior to the meetinf!. <br /> <br />6.
