<br />City of Centerville <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 27, 2006 <br />Mayor Capra stated she would also vote in favor of the project, but she still had concerns <br />regarding the stormwater management. She commended staff for all of their work on this <br />agreement. She noted the road was unsafe and something needed to be done. She asked <br />if Council wanted to make this contingent upon a signed agreement. <br /> <br />Engineer Statz stated he believed the City and County could work this out and that it <br />would be in their best interest to not attach any riders on the agreement. He noted this <br />made too much sense to not be worked out. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra asked if they could approve the lP A with the understanding it was <br />contingent upon the signed agreement. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Terwav. seconded bv Council Member Lakso. to <br />approve the Joint Powers A~reement. for the reconstruction of County State Aid <br />Hi~hwav No. 14 (Main Street) from I35W to I35E County Proiect No. 02-614-24 <br />with clarification bv the City's attorney of the interpretation of the lan~ua~e of 4B <br />and with the understandin~ the County will a2ree to reasonable concessions for the <br />two blocks south of Main Street on Centerville Road with re2ard to their streetscape <br />policies. All in favor. Motion carried 4-1 (Council Member Paar opposed). <br /> <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Precision Excavating Closeout & Final Payment - $132384.50 <br /> <br />Administrator Larson stated this was the final payment. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Lee. seconded by Council Member Terwav. to approve <br />the Precision Excavatin~ Closeout and Final Pavment in the amount of $132.384.50. <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Labor Agreement (January, 2007 - December 31, 2009) <br /> <br />Administrator Larson stated they had reached an agreement with the Local 49 Union <br />workers (Public Works). He reviewed the modifications to the Agreement with Council. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee. seconded by Council Member Paar. to approve the <br />Labor A~reement between the City of Centerville and International Union of <br />Operatin~ En2ineers Local No. 49 AFL-CIO. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimouslv. <br /> <br />3.
