<br />. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson stated the garden seeds are able to be planted through October with <br />grading and preparation work, as well. He noted plants are better planted in the <br />spring for these gardens. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg asked that an informational meeting be held for the public to <br />inform them of this option. Mr. Peterson stated he has been working with the <br />City of Scandia on this same issue and noted the seminar speaker charges roughly <br />$70-75 an hour for her meetings. <br /> <br />Councilmember Broussard Vickers asked that something be placed on the web <br />site regarding this item to gain interest for a seminar to be held in late September <br />or early October. Mr. Peterson indicated the people on Center Street should be <br />contacted because this could assist them with their concerns. He stated Mr. Palzer <br />should also be notified to gain additional names of residents with groundwater <br />problems. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg suggested a cost share for those residents on Center Street from <br />the sanitary sewer fund to assist in the planting of a rainwater garden. <br /> <br />Eagle Pass 2nd Addition Association Concerns <br /> <br />Ms. Bender noted the tennis court was completed along with the sidewalks in <br />Eagle Pass. She indicated the striping would be done after the court was allowed <br />to cure. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg spoke on the speed limit issue on Main Street between 20th <br />Street and the eastern border of the City. He noted the Council is not responsible <br />for setting speed limits. He indicated there was a state commission responsible <br />for this issue. <br /> <br />Pheasant Marsh 1 st Addition Resolutions <br /> <br />This item was addressed earlier in the meeting. <br /> <br />Shea Architects <br /> <br />Councilmember Capra noted she was working on a design plan for the <br />commercial property west of the County Bank. She indicated the south side of <br />Main Street was subdivided into three parcels. <br /> <br />Councilmember Capra reviewed access, sidewalk and parking issues at this site. <br />She explained this item would be brought before the Council in the future after <br />additional discussion has taken place. Councilmember Capra noted there would <br />only be a one one-way entrance off of Main Street to control the flow of traffic. <br /> <br />Councilmember Capra stated this site would be a good working tool for the <br />Council to use with future commercial developments. <br /> <br />21 st Avenue Update <br /> <br />6 of 10 <br />
