CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />The City of Centerville July 26 through Augast 8, 2001 <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Nelson. seconded by Council Member Capra to <br />approve the expenditures for the City from July 26. 2001 through August 8. <br />2001. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Centennial Fire District Expenses <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Nelson. seconded bv Council Member Capra to <br />approve the Centennial Fire District expenditures as presented by Staff. All <br />in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />X. COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />· Council Member Broussard Vickers noted the Planning Commission met on <br />August 7, 2001 where discussion was held on Ordinance 4 with regard to <br />accessory structures. She noted that this item would be before the Council at <br />the next meeting. <br /> <br />· Council Member Broussard Vickers noted findings of fact would need to be <br />provided on all new variances coming before Planning or Council for <br />approval. Mr. Hoeft stated the findings of fact are the basis for going through <br />with something or not following through with something. He noted findings <br />of fact would usually be provided for variance approvals to give record of <br />why an item was approved or denied. Mr. Hoeft stated they shows what the <br />Council based their decision on and that the Council did not act in a capricious <br />manner. He suggested staff prepare findings of fact before Planning and <br />Zoning meetings to advise the members of what issues would be addressed <br />with each variance. <br /> <br />· Council Member Broussard Vickers noted the Park and Recreation <br />Commission were going forward with the Wheels Park and the order has been <br />placed for the park fixtures. <br /> <br />. Council Member Capra noted the Cable Commission was discussing things <br />with AT&T Broadband as they are under a takeover, at this time. She noted <br />this mayor may not have an affect on the agreement with this commission. <br /> <br />. Council Member Nelson noted Ray DeVine would be present at the next <br />meeting to review the Fete des Lacs budget. <br /> <br />Page 70f8 <br />
