Please note that the only reason I am writing
this letter is because as I am sure you are aware, we currently have no City Administrator.
Accordingly, the Council asked that I express their concerns regarding this project.

Specifically, the Council is quite concerned with regard to the cost of the project and the ability
of the City to assess that cost back to the Centerville property owners. The City COlli'1ci1 did
retain an appraiser to perform a benefit analysis on the three Centerville properties that would be .
affected by the proposed project. The benefit value to those Centerville properties is
significantly less than what is being proposed as Centerville's portion of the project cost.

The second concern relates to the design of the project. The City Council has concerns about the
proposed design being able to handle the current and future needs of the area and the intersection
with County 14. Of course these design issues will also reflect on the cost concerns as expressed
above.

In general, the City Council is enthusiastic about this project and feels that it needs to be done.
However, they do feel a need to be more involved in the design of the project and how the costs
will be allocated.

An Equal Opportunity Employer
