Oversee the revitalization of the downtown and Marina area. <br /> <br />. Oversee the remodeling and construction of the addition to City Hall. <br />Evaluate the need for improvement of other public facilities, i.e., the <br />library and public safety facilities. <br /> <br />. Work with the Public Works Director in planning and developing a joint <br />public works and utility equipment maintenance facility. <br /> <br />. Work with the City Council in developing plans for controlled growth <br />addressing the capacity of the utilities, transportation issues, schools, <br />and infrastructure needs. Educate the public on the impact of growth in <br />a growing community. <br /> <br />. Evaluate the financial impact of proposed development within the city <br />and review the city's debt strategy. <br /> <br />. Located on Lake Pepin, scenic recreational <br />community in southeastern Minnesota. Position reports to Mayor and <br />six-member City Council. Responsible for supervising a staff of 42 and a <br />general fund budget of $2.8 million. Oversee administration of city <br />departments including marina, police, planning/zoning, commercial <br />development, administrative/finance, and public works department <br />which consists of electric and water utilities, streets and parks. Requires <br />minimum of 5 years experience in local government management <br />position.
