<br />April 16,2001 <br />Fete des Lacs Festival Committee Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />8. Advertising <br /> <br />Chair De Vine suggested that a full or half page flyer that is generic should be completed <br />within the next couple of weeks to be include in with the sponsorship letter. Committee <br />Member Peil stated that a craft show/business expo. registration form should also be <br />included in the mailing. Committee Member DeVine stated that same was completed. <br /> <br />9. Parking <br /> <br />Committee Member Peil stated that she had yet to forward a letter to the Church in <br />regards to parking. <br /> <br />IO. Raffle <br /> <br />Chair DeVine stated that Committee Member Sweeney offered to escort Committee <br />Members Peil and DeVine to Tousley Sports Center. Committee Member Sweeney <br />explained that the Committee would ascertain if Tousley wanted to donate for <br />sponsorship, at cost or split the cost of a 4-wheel and at the same time ascertain if they <br />would allow the use of two (2) additional, identical 4-wheels. The 4-wheelers would be <br />placed at the beginning and end of the parade with signs on them explain that an identical <br />4-wheeler could be won through the raffle and give Tousley Sports a plug. Committee <br />Member Sweeney suggested the use of the three (3) 4-wheeler at the event and to have <br />same. parked at the dance. It was also suggested that Waldoch Sports be approached. <br />Committee Member Peil stated several sporting goods stores. A suggestion was made for <br />Anoka County Park Memberships. <br /> <br />11. Fund Raising <br /> <br />Local area business coupon pages as a local fundraiser. Committee Member Sweeney <br />stated that all participates would sign out a block of numbers and be financially <br />responsible for same. Mr. Bisek stated that usually local business are hit hard for <br />donations and are unlikely to give same without something in return. He felt that the <br />coupon pages would bring additional revenue to local business owners plus it would be a <br />minimal donation. Mr. Hurr stated that usually the carnival posters and tickets would be <br />printed in a month to a month and a half and same would be delivered together. <br />Committee Member Peil stated that the sub-committee general information pages were <br />needed and registration forms. <br /> <br />12. Main Stage <br /> <br />Committee Member Sweeney stated that contacts are ready for Kit and Kaboodle, the <br />Magician and Laurie's Dance Studio. Committee Member Sweeney also stated that the <br />car fire simulator is a possibility. <br /> <br />13. Volunteers <br /> <br />Committee Member Sweeney presented the Committee with post cards for volunteers to <br />be contained in the sponsorship letter. <br /> <br />Page 4 of 5 <br />
