OLD BUSINESS

Downtown Revitalization

Mr. March asked that the City Engineer review the alternate water main solutions
for the downtown revitalization.

Mr. Peterson reviewed Option 1 as being the original plan with a water main from
Chauncey Baret to Westview Street with a 12" water main south of Main and 8"
pipe north of Main. He stated this option would provide the best overall looping
system with additional sources of water for the school and Lakeland Hills. Mr.
Peterson explained the total cost for this option would be $170,000.

Mr. Peterson explained Option 2 would be to extend a 12" pve water main on
Main Street from Progress Road to Centerville Road. He explained this option
does not allow for any looping at this time, but could be connected to future
developments. Mr. Peterson indicated the total cost for Option 2 would be
$45,000.

Mr. Peterson indicated Option 3 would be the same as Option 2 with an additional
1" copper service pipe to the west of Centerville Road. He noted this would get
service to the church and two properties on the north side of Main Street. Mr.
Peterson indicated the cost for this option would be $55,000.

Mayor Swedberg thanked staff for their research and comments.

21 st Avenue (Joint Powers Agreement & Feasibility Study)

Mr. March stated an appraisal is being completed at this time and he is waiting for
further feedback.

Turcotte Purchase Agreement

Mr. March indicated this was presented at the last meeting and asked the City
Attorney to review this item with the Council.
