Planning and Zoning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />November 14, 2006 <br />will implement the development guidelines the City has adopted. He stated that it is <br />possible that the developer, at that time, would be interested in purchasing this property. <br />He stated that it is not the Planning Commission’s decision on whether or not the City <br />will purchase Mr. Marshall’s land, but on whether or not to allow the lot split. <br /> <br />Mr. Marshall stated that he understands the rezoning plans, but feels that he was lead to <br />believe that the City would buy his property at the lot split value. He stated that he feels <br />he was strung along while the City changed their plans. He stated that is why he is <br />asking for the laws to be reinstated from when he originally purchased the land. <br /> <br />Chair Hanson stated that he understands this situation has created a hardship for Mr. <br />Marshall, but the City cannot set a precedent by reverting to previous rules. <br /> <br />Mr. Marshall stated that he feels he has been in an ongoing process with the City since he <br />purchased the land. <br /> <br />Commissioner Klennert Hunt asked if a lot split application was submitted. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson stated that there was not a formal lot split request submitted. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Hanson, seconded by Commissioner Wright, to adopt <br />findings and recommendation for denial of the request by Erick Marshall for a lot <br />split at 1688 Sorel Street. All present in favor, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Letter of Interest – Mr. Darin Mosher <br />3. Letter of Interest – Mr. Eric Weinroth <br />4. Letter of Interest – Mr. Ben Fehrenbacher <br /> <br />Mr. Larson stated that there were three letters of interest in filling the vacancy on the <br />Planning Commission. He stated that the Commission can make a recommendation to <br />the Council on who they would like to see appointed. <br /> <br />Darin Mosher introduced himself to the Commission and expressed his interest in serving <br />on the Commission. Mr. Mosher left the Commission meeting. <br /> <br />The Commission discussed the applicants. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Love, seconded by Commission Wright, to recommend <br />that the City Council appoint Mr. Darin Mosher to the Planning Commission.
