City of Centerville <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 27, 2006 <br /> <br />b.Pothole Repair <br /> <br />c.Snowplowing <br /> <br />d.Street Sweeping <br /> <br />Council Member Terway stated he felt that plowing should not be determined by the <br />amount of snowfall.. He stated they needed to ere on the side of being cautious rather <br />than the amount of snowfall. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar believed that the Public Works Director should be making the <br />snowplowing decisions. Administrator Larson noted anyone at Public Works could make <br />the decision, but they needed to be empowered to make that decision. <br /> <br />Administrator Larson suggested that the policy needs to be clear and that cost <br />consideration could be a much larger issue if the City received frequent snow falls. He <br />noted this item could be continued to the next meeting if necessary. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee recommended that the residents be reminded it was their <br />responsibility to clear the snow from sidewalks in front of their residences. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Lee, to adopt the <br />Centerville Snowplowing Policy as amended. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />7.District Memorial Hospital Board Dissolution <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Terway, seconded by Council Member Paar, to accept <br />the Final Order of the Governing Board of Memorial Hospital District in Forest <br />Lake and accept the check to the City of Centerville representing the City of <br />Centerville’s portion of the remaining funds ordered to be distributed pursuant to <br />the Final Order. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />8.Resolution #06-059 – Appointment Committee/Commission Guidelines <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Paar, to adopt <br />Resolution #06-059, a Resolution Establishing Guidelines for Appointments to <br />Committee or Commissions. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />9.Council Appointments <br /> <br />Council Member Lee recommended this be continued to the next Council meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra requested the City Clerk draft the list of Council appointments for <br />consideration at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Council Member Lakso stated she would be willing to serve on the Fire Steering <br />Committee. <br />Page 6 of 8 <br />
