IRI(:E CREEK
WATERSHED
DISTRI(:T
V i/CVW-~WlV

Rice Creek Clean-Up - Calling All Volunteers!

In celebration of Earth Day, the Rice Creek
Watershed District will be working with 4-H Clubs, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, schools,
Lions Clubs, church youth groups, cities and counties to collect litter and debris out of
Rice Creek from Lino Lakes to Fridley.

Each volunteer group will be given a small portion of the creek to pick-up any time
during the last two weeks of April. The section of creek assigned to a group should take
each group about 2-4 hours to complete. There will drop off spots for groups to put the
trash bags of collected garbage. Volunteer groups will be responsible for their own life
jackets and canoes. Trash bags and work gloves will be provided.

Would your club like to be involved? Contact Dawn Dubats at the Rice Creek Watershed
District (ddubats@ricecreek.org or 763-398-3070 x178) to get the details.
