<br />ORDINANCE #53 <br />page two <br /> <br />(k) The license required by Minnesota Statutes Section <br />329.11 shall be filed with the City Clerk and shall be <br />conspicuously posted in the transient merchant's place <br />of business. <br /> <br />Article 3. Section 30.01 Definitions. <br />For the purpose of this article, the following terms shall <br />have the respective meanings ascribed to them: <br /> <br />30.01-1 <br /> <br />30.01-2 <br /> <br />30.01-3 <br /> <br />30.01-4 <br /> <br />Article 4. <br /> <br />Peddler: Any person with no fixed place of <br />business, who goes from house to house, <br />from place to place, or from street to <br />street, conveying or transporting goods, <br />wares or merchandise and offering or <br />exposing the same for sale, or making <br />sales and deliveries to purchasers. <br /> <br />Solicitor: Any person who goes from house to <br />house, from place to place, or from <br />street to street, soliciting or taking <br />or attempting to take orders for sale of <br />goods, wares, or merchandise, including <br />magazines, books, periodicals, or <br />personal property of any nature <br />whatsoever for future delivery. <br /> <br />Transient merchant: Any person, who engages <br />temporarily in the business of selling <br />and delivering goods, wares and <br />merchandise within the city outside of a <br />building and who, in furtherance of such <br />purpose, hires, leases, uses or occupies <br />any building, structure, vacant lot, <br />lot, motor vehicle, trailer, tent, or <br />railroad car. <br /> <br />Transient Sale: The temporary or transient sale <br />and delivery of goods, wares and <br />merchandise, or transaction of any <br />temporary, seasonal or transient <br />business, outside of a building with a <br />valid certificate of occupancy, in or <br />upon any vacant lot, lot, motor vehicle, <br />trailer, tent or railroad car. <br /> <br />License application and issuance. <br />
