<br />May 9,2001 Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Council Member Capra questioned whether Anoka County had expressed concern due to <br />the high lake level. Mr. Havel stated that Anoka County did not anticipate a problem <br />being that the lake level was dissipating. Mr. Havel stated that the ski club would delay <br />activity until the water level is lower to comply with the wake zones. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson questioned whether the ski jump would be the same as previous <br />years. Mr. Havel concurred. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member <br />Capra to authorize the installation of the ski jump in front of the Waterworks Beach <br />Club bv the Bald Ea~le Water Ski Club pendine: all required permits and approvals <br />by other entities. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Mr. Buechler <br /> <br />Mr. Buechler stated that he had not used the previously received overweight permit <br />granted by Council due to the use of a vehicle that weighed under the posted tonnage. <br />Mr. Buechler requested that Council consider granting an additional overweight permit <br />for seven (7) tons in order to bring a pumper truck into the construction site and pump <br />concrete for the floors. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson questioned if Mr. Buechler would be bringing in only one (1) truck. Mr. <br />Buechler concurred. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra questioned whether a permit would need to be granted due to <br />road restrictions being anticipated to be lifted within several days. Mr. Peterson stated <br />that Mound Trail is posted for five (5) tons when weight restrictions are removed. Mr. <br />Peterson stated that Council previously approved Mr. Buechler's request because Mound <br />Trail is in good condition and stated that he felt that one (1) vehicle would not degrade <br />same. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers questioned whether the concrete trucks would also <br />be over the roads posted limit. Mr. Buechler stated that the trucks would not be filled to <br />maximum capacity. <br /> <br />Council Member Capra questioned whether the wet conditions in the area posed a <br />problem for the roadway. Mr. Peterson recommended approval ofthe permit. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member <br />Travis to approve a seven (7) ton. one-time overweie:ht permit for Mr. Buechler. All <br />in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />V. CONSIDERA TION OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson requested the following changes: Page 3, change "her" to "she" <br />and Page 8, change "stripe" to "strip". Under the Public Works Report, change the <br />sentence to indicate that the bobcat rental would cost the City a total of $365 plus tax. <br /> <br />Page 2 of9 <br />
