. System consulting will be conducted with the appropriate staff to provide a solid
foundation for a successful installation. Tbis will create an organized transition from
paper to document imaging and instruct personnel on the proper installation
procedures, operation, and maintenance of the system.

· After the hardware and software installation, thorough testing of the system will be
conducted and end-user training will begin. Tbis training consists of two parts. The
initial training is designed to introduce users to the operation and functions of the
LaserFiche system. The second phase consists of hands-on training designed to
provide real-time assistance to general and specific working environment concerns.

CONCLUSION

Compulink Management Center, Inc. has over twenty years of experience working with records
management professionals in all types of organizations, and our experience has taught us what works
best in the development and execution of effective imaging systems. One of the most important lessons
has been how to implement document imaging for actual work environments while protecting company
resources.

Compulink developed LaserFiche software using the concepts of an open, scaleable architecture to store
images and text as TIFF and ASCII files. LaserFiche uses an industry standard ODBC compliant
database and a native DDE server structure to create the most easily accessible platform for integration
into native applications available. In addition, the optional LaserFiche Integrator's Toolkit enables
technical staff to create the perfect match for existing computer systems.

The proposed LaserFiche System will provide all of the components necessary to scan, import, and
retrieve scanned images and electronic documents. When Crabtree completes the proposed turnkey
solution, the Gty of Centerville will have a document management system that satisfies all their
requirements and can be integrated with existing platforms and applications. This scaleable solution will
provide a simple client graphical user interface, built in scanner and OCR engines for fast full-text
search, and a robust, accessible database. Scanning stations and additional software licenses can easily be
added to the existing system should they have a need to expand to other departments or locations.

THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE

LASERFICHE DOCUMENT IMAGING SYSTEM SOFTWARE

2
