<br />NOT <br />APPROVED <br /> <br />PARKS AND RECREATION <br />COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />January 3,2001 <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Parks and Recreation Committee of the City <br />ofCenterville held their regularly scheduled meeting on January 3,2001 at City Hall, <br />1880 Main Street. Chairperson Doug Porter called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Doug Porter <br />Karla DeVine <br />Wayne LeBlanc <br />Tedd Peterson <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Brian Walter <br /> <br />Staff: <br /> <br />Jill Lien <br /> <br />APPEARANCES <br /> <br />CONSIDERA TION OF MINUTES <br /> <br />December 6. 2000 Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. LeBlanc, seconded by Mr. Peterson to approve the December 6, 2000 <br />Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes with noted corrections. AD in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />Proposed Trail Map <br />Ms. Lien explained that she had not received the updated Trail Map from the engineers to <br />date. Ms. Lien will contact the engineers and update the committee at the February <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Trails Coordination Meeting for Northeast Metro <br />Mr. LeBlanc commented on the meeting that was held in November regarding the <br />Northeast Metro Trail was a success. There were representatives present from all ofthe <br />surrounding communities and all came to a "shared" vision for the proposed trail. Mr. <br />LeBlanc also mentioned that he had spoke with Mayor Swedberg regarding the trail <br />goals. Mayor Swedberg suggested to Mr. LeBlanc the possibility of running a trail to the <br />Willow Glen Town Home Association, and continuing north on 20th Avenue, and then <br />east toward Hugo. <br /> <br />1 <br />
