CENTENNIAL FIRE DEPARTMENT RELIEF ASSOCIATION BYLAWS ARTICLE VII SICK AND DISABILITY BENEFITS Section 1. If a member of this association shall become totally and permanently disabled, to the extent that a physician or surgeon acceptable to the board of truste~s shall certify that such disability will permanently prevent said member from performing his or her duties in the Centennial Fire Department, the association shall pay to such member the sum or $1200.00 for each year that the member served as an active member of the Centennial Fire Department. If a member who has received such a disability pension should subsequently recover and return to active duty in the Centennial Fire Department, any amount paid to him/her as a disability pension shall be deducted from his/her service penSlon. ARTICLE VIII Death Benerits and Pensions Section 1. Upon the death of any member or the association who is in good standing at the time of his death, the association shall pay the designated beneficiary(s) the sum of $1200.00 for each year that he/she served as an active member of the Centennial Fire Department. Section 2. The association shall pay to each member who shall have served actively in the Centerville, Circle Pines, and Centennial Fire Department for a period of twenty (20) years or more prior to their resignation from the Centennial Fire Department, and who has reached the age or fifty years or more, and has been a member of the Centerville, Circle Pines, and Centennial Relief associations for at least five years, the sum of $1200.00 for each year that he/she has served as an active member of the Centennial Fire Depart- ment, pursuant to Minnesota State Statutes. page 9 CFD RELIEF AssorTA~TnN .
