There are many students who walk <br />along Main Street and children who cross Main Street regularly. <br /> <br />The Council discussed one possible disadvantage to requesting the study may be an <br />increase in the speed limit. Council Member Vickers shared that if the study found a <br />consecutive number of cars going a higher speed, the county may opt to raise the limit <br />versus lower it. This possible result will be noted in a response letter to Mr. Spanjers. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Wilharber. seconded by Council Member Sweeney to w~ite a <br />letter to Anoka County to conduct a speed check on Main Street and in addition to <br />send a response to Ms. Spanjers.
