The water standing on the proposed lot is where the proposed future house will
set. The water will not go down in a few days. (regardless of what the mayor
says) I have seen the water much higher than it is now.

The builder will be responsible for foundation damage up to 10 years. But,
before that, Mr. Hanzal will be long gone and the poor homeowner will have an
expensive mess to deal with.

When St. Genevieve built the community center, they had to have lime brought in
and mixed with the soil to make sure the foundation would hold up. This was due
to so much moisture in the soil. They also had to mix lime with the soil under the
parking lot. The church property is much higher and doesn't have to content with
the creek overflowing.
