Item to consider

Jeff Parr has a very strong bias called friendship and should abstain from
voting. Friends bend over to help a friend, where they won't for others they don't
know.

Jeff is creating his own hardships. It is self-created. This is not an established
lot. This is not a buildable lot. Hardship is for the landowner who needs to sell
property to pay $80,000 in assessments.

Jeff has other options. Five lots can be done north of his house.

Environmental If you grant this variance, access to the creek for maintenance
will be cut off for the Rice Creek watershed. The outlot was for this purpose. If
fire occurs in the woods, emergency equipment cannot reach it. There was a fire
in a tree one Halloween.

The culvert drains directly into the creek. Not good for environment. Needs to
have a sediment holding pond. It would have to be on this property.

People in past have been denied variances on lots already established and with
homes on them. You would set precedent for future variances.

Every neighbor directly affected by this attended every meeting. There has not
been one person at the meetings in favor of this variance.

After the P&Z meeting, two developers and former mayor told us we got screwed.
Why would they say that?

Jeff said he could put up a 3050 sq ft house. Needs to be held to this if he builds.

Road damage that's affected by the heavy trucks. Developer needs to be
responsible for repairs.

I ask that this variance be denied.
