Committee Member Peil
suggested the idea of a permanent skate park site fall into the 2-year plan of Tracie McBride
Memorial Park. When the water tower is removed there will be room for a skate park on that
site. It was mentioned that some skate parks are asphalt opposed to concrete, asphalt would be
less expensive, but research should be done on asphalt versus concrete. Committee Member
Seeley suggested forming a sub-committee to work: on the 2-year Tracie McBride plan.

The committee then went through the 2003 Parks & Recreation Budget & Projects List line by
line to prepare a rough draft for the 2004 budget. Committee Member LeBlanc and Committee
Member Seeley will put this information together for the next scheduled meeting. The
committee also discussed grants, what the process is to apply, where to get information, and who
would possibly be interested in pursuing the information. Committee Member Seeley would
like to form a sub-committee to research this area.

VII.
