<br />SpohnCrete Skatepark System Specifications 2007 <br /> <br />Concrete (Material Specifications) <br /> <br />Cement: Type 10 Normal Portland <br /> <br />Compressive Strength: Minimum 6000 psi (41 MPa) @ 28 Days <br /> <br />Slump: 2-3" <br /> <br />Air Entrainment: 3-5% <br /> <br />Aggregates <br /> <br />Maximum aggregate size: 3/4" <br /> <br />Finish <br /> <br />Standard: All concrete skating surfaces shall be finished as smooth natural <br />concrete and sealed with a concrete sealer. All sidewalls and back walls shall <br />be primed with a two-part epoxy primer and coated again with a two-part <br />polyurethane standard grey (concrete match) color coating. <br /> <br />Optional: All concrete skating surfaces shall be primed with a two-part epoxy <br />primer and coated again with a two-part polyurethane coating. Components <br />skating surfaces are coated in standard grey (concrete match) color coating. <br />Component sidewalls and back walls shall be primed with a two-part epoxy <br />primer and coated again with a two-part polyurethane coating. <br /> <br />Reinforcing <br /> <br />Reinforcing steel shall be new billet deformed bars and welded wire steel <br />mesh and shall conform to CSA Standard G30.13 Grade 300. Minimum cover <br />for all reinforcing shall be 1". <br /> <br />Steel Components <br /> <br />Transition Plate <br />1/8" thick Grade 304 Stainless Steel plate shall be anchored into concrete <br />ramp at 12" on center using 1 1/2" headed studs. <br /> <br />Coping <br />Grade 304 Stainless Steel Pipe, 2 3/8" Schedule 40, shall be anchored to <br />concrete ramp at 12" on center with steel studs. To eliminate dents from hard <br />usage, the coping shall be filled with concrete, fitted with welded end caps <br />and then ground smooth. <br /> <br />Edge Protection <br />Grade 304 Stainless Steel, 2" x 2" x 1/8" thick plate shall be anchored at 12" <br />on center. The amount of edge protection can be customized to specifications. <br />
