Installation Details and Procedures

SpohnCrete precision cast components are designed to be installed on a
granular material or an existing concrete or asphalt surface. The components are
craned into place, levelled, set on a mortar bed and bolted together.
Installation procedures involve a Spohn Ranch supervisor on every project
working in conjunction with local labor or city operations people. This ensures the
utmost quality control in the installation process. The shipping and unloading is
coordinated with the installation process and occurs at the same time. This allows
products to be off loaded and placed in the correct location prior to placement and
minimizes excess handling.
Project turnaround is dependent upon the size and complexity of the project.
An average size park can be completed in 2-4 days. This includes product placement,
seam grout, paint and guard rail installation. The labor component is predetermined
and this information is presented to the client.

Maintenance Schedule

The philosophy behind SpohnCrete precision cast components is to provide an
extremely low maintenance product. Every component is designed and constructed
using high strength concrete. The coping and grind edges are stainless steel and the
safety rails are hot-dipped galvanized.
The riding surface of the ramps is offered in either a natural, smooth finish or
an optional two part polyurethane industrial coated finish, both of which are designed
to stand up to climatic conditions. Depending upon the aesthetic condition, the
pOlyurethane surface coating may be recoated in 3-4 years, though it is not required.
The galvanized safety rails may require periodic touch-ups with Galvicon paint
if the coating is vandalized. There should be no other maintenance required for our
components. Spohn Ranch components come with a Five Year Limited Warranty
under normal skatepark use (we do not warranty against vandalism).
