There will be open houses at key points in the process to receive comments from the residents and business <br />people. There will also be periodic communications to keep the public informed on the progress of plan. The <br />current meeting schedule is: <br /> <br /> <br />October 25th - Task Force Meeting at Centerville City Hall at 6:30 PM <br />November 15th - Public Meeting at Centerville Elementary at 6:30 PM <br />November 29th - Task Force Meeting at Centerville City Hall at 6:30 PM <br />December 20th - Public Meeting at Centerville Elementary at 6:30 PM <br />January 11, 2006 - Final Presentation to City Council at Centerville City Hall at 6:30 PM <br /> <br />Q. ,; C',"'-C.' <br /> <br />A. Those that own property in the downtown area will be allowed to remain in their homes as long as they <br />desire. Downtown is currently zoned as a mixed-use area and residential properties are listed as non- <br />conforming land uses. That distinction would remain in the future zoning plan. <br /> <br />Q. is <br />A. No. For any redevelopment to move forward, it will need to make financial sense, there must be a market for <br />it, and it must be consistent with community goals. <br /> <br /> <br />Redevelopment proposals that do not pass anyone of these three tests are not successful. <br /> <br />The City will work hard with the community and potential developers to identify redevelopment that fits the <br />community goals and will be market and financially feasible. <br /> <br />Q. The project costs would be funded primarily by the developer's private financing, closely related to future <br />sales and rentals of residential units and commercial properties. <br /> <br />At the City's discretion, site costs and public improvements may be assisted with public funds such as tax <br />increment financing. <br /> <br />a. <br />A.
