<br />City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />March 28, 2007 <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson explained this would allow the City to apply for grant funds <br />through the Anoka County Housing Authority rather than compete with other <br />communities not part of these entitlement Counties. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Lee. Seconded bv Council Member Broussard. to <br />Approve Anoka County 2008-2010 Urban County Requalification for Participation <br />in HUD Community Development Block Grant and Home Investment Partnership <br />Pr02rams. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />3. Property Restoration Relating to Sorel Street <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reported that in the process of tearing up Sorel Street last year <br />in an effort to complete the project before the end of the year and use grant dollars, St. <br />Genevieve Church graciously granted the City easements to run a water main along the <br />easterly edge of the property and along the property bordering Sorel Street. Mr. Larson <br />explained that because the sewer line was very deep, an extreme amount of damage was <br />done to the lawn. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reported he received a bid from L & N Sodding to repair the <br />church lawn to the condition it was prior to the City's construction. Mr. Larson stated <br />that the City would like to complete the restoration as soon as weather will allow. Mr. <br />Larson also indicated that the City received an additional proposal from L & N Sodding <br />to seed the City Block Seven to make it more presentable until such time it is developed. <br />Mr. Larson stated that the proposals for restoration for both projects did not exceed <br />$5,500 total. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard. Seconded bv Council Member Lakso. to <br />Approve the submitted proposals for restoration of lawn at St. Genevieve's Church <br />and seedin2 Block Seven associated with the City's utility improvement proiect All <br />in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTSIUPDATES <br /> <br />1. City Administrator Larson <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reported that several applications for the Economic <br />Development Authority have been received from citizens desiring to be appointed. He <br />requested that Council consider the selection process. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding requirements for membership, the interview process, and a <br />deadline. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra recommended the deadline for applications be the end of business on April <br />18,2007 and the selection process commence on April 25, 2007. <br /> <br />Page 70f9 <br /> <br />f <br />
