<br />Subd. 1. <br /> <br />Cornices, canopies or eaves may extend into the required front yard a <br />distance not to exceed two (2) feet, six (6) inches. <br /> <br />Subd. 2. <br /> <br />A landing place or uncovered porch may extend into the required front <br />yard to a distance not exceeding six (6) feet, if the landing place or porch <br />has its floor no higher than the entrance floor of the building. An open <br />railing no higher than three (3) feet may be placed around such structure. <br /> <br />Subd.3. <br /> <br />The above-referenced architectural features may also extend into any <br />side or rear yard to the same extent, except that no porch, terrace, or <br />outside stairway shall extend more than three (3) feet into any side yard <br />and then, in the case of an outside stairway, only if it is unroofed and <br />unenclosed above and below the steps. In no situation shall a porch, stair <br />landing, or any other architectural feature extend closer than four (4) feet <br />to the side property line. <br /> <br />(d.) No detached accessory building may be constructed on a parcel <br />without a principal structure and cannot be located within any yard other <br />than the rear yard or thc side yard except in the M-l Zoning District. <br /> <br />Subd. 2. <br /> <br />Minimum Setbacks. No accessory building or any eave or other portion <br />of any accessory building may be located within five (5) feet of either <br />side property line or ten (10) feet of the rear property line, except in the <br />M-l Zoning District. <br /> <br />Subd.3. <br /> <br />Setback from Principal Structure. Unless attached to and made a part of <br />the principal structure, no eave or other portion of an accessory building <br />may be closer than six (6) feet to the principal structure, except as <br />otherwise provided for in this Section. <br /> <br />2 <br />
