<br />Subd. 155. <br /> <br />Wetland. Land that is transitional between terrestrial and aquatic systems <br />where the water table is usually at or near the surface or that is covered by <br />shallow water. For purposes of this defInition, wetlands must have the <br />following three (3) characteristics: <br /> <br />a. Predominance of hydric soils; <br /> <br />b. Are inundated or saturated by surface or groundwater at a <br />frequency and duration sufficient to support a prevalence of <br />hydrophytes vegetation typically adapted for life in <br />saturated soil conditions; and <br /> <br />c. Under normal conditions, support a prevalence of such <br />vegetation. <br /> <br />Subd. 156. Yard. That portion of a lot between a lot line, and a building on the lot. <br /> <br />Subd. 157. Yard, Exterior. A side yard which abuts a street or public right-of-way <br />along the side lot line. <br /> <br />Subd. 158. Yard, Front. The area extending along the full width of the lot between <br />the side lot lines from the street right-of-way line to the principal building <br />on the lot or to a depth required in the yard regulations of the Zoning <br />District in which the individual lot is located. <br /> <br />Subd. 159. Yard, Interior Side. A side yard which abuts an adjacent side yard or back <br />yard along the side lot line. <br /> <br />Subd. 160. Yard, Rear. The area extending along the full width of the lot between the <br />side lot lines from the side lot line to the principal building on the lot or as <br />specifIed in the yard regulations for the Zoning District in which the <br />individual lot is located. <br /> <br />Subd. 161. Yard, Side. The area extending along the full depth of the lot between the <br />front and rear lot lines from the side lot line to the principal building on <br />the lot. <br /> <br />Subd. 162. Zoning District. An area for which specifIc regulations and requirements <br />are established to govern land use, lot specifIcations, structures and <br />building dimensions. <br /> <br />Subd. 163. Zoning Map. A map that designates the location and boundaries of the <br />City's Zoning Districts. <br /> <br />18 <br />
