<br />students were able to lea.rn. about wolves, loons, wild cat.s,
<br />bison, bluebirds, butterflies, sna.1tes, bea.rs, and exotic
<br />aliens (non-native species). It is a wonderful opportunity
<br />for us to be out in the schools sha.r1ng what we love best.
<br />We have been showered with tha.uk-you letters, oa.rds and
<br />pictures from teachers and studeDt...q from throughout the
<br />metro a.rea and surrounding rural cities. The Outreach
<br />program continues to be very popula.'r cons1der1ng bus
<br />costs and school district shortages. The program
<br />continues to show the unique collaJ:lorat1on of our
<br />orga.nizations in working towards a common goal. We a.re
<br />extremely thankful for Connexus Energy's f1nAnrnAl
<br />support.

<br />.As Outreach props and brochures are being tucked a~,
<br />staff are busily preparing for spring enviromnental
<br />education programs ta.k1ng place at W8.1'go, Coon Rapids
<br />Dam, Bunker Hills, and numerous programs at area
<br />schools. We a.re booked throughout the remAiTlner of the
<br />school ;yea.r.

<br />Chomonix Ladies League Spring Kick-off
<br />
<br />The Chomonix Ladies Tuesday league presented Chomonix
<br />Golf Course with a plaque for hosting the Minnesota Women's
<br />Public Golf Association (MWPGA) Team/Club Championship
<br />tournament on September 16th, 2001. Lynn Strand, Vice
<br />President of the league, presented the plaque to Dennis Pille,
<br />Golf Course Assistant, at the annual Ladies League Spring kick-
<br />off meeting, April 22, 2002. ..

<br />The Chomonix Ladies Tuesday l.eaguepresented Chomonix Golf Course
<br />with a plaque for hosting the MWPGA team'c1ub cba.alpionsbip tournaIJIent
<br />
<br />The league will start the new season on April 30th with the
<br />addition of 30 new golfers, in~ing the leagues 2002 roster of
<br />participating members up to 105 golfers. The league was most
<br />appreciative of Dennis covering "What's New At the Golf
<br />Course", and applauded the expected benches on the lady tees,
<br />the newly installed 100, 150 and 200 yard markers on the right
<br />of each failway and the soon to be upgraded CHIN handicap
<br />system.

<br />Each member received a 2002 Women's League booklet
<br />outlining the calendar of events, procedures on making and
<br />canceling tee times, posting scores in the CHIN handicap
<br />system and league policies at Chomonix Golf Course. Everyone
<br />is anticipating a great year at the golf course and looking
<br />forward to teeing it up next Tuesday.

<br />Repetition And Ritual Opens At Banfill-locke
<br />
<br />GRepetition and Ritual", an exhibition of the work of artists Alexis
<br />Kuhr and Jeannine Spooner Kitzhaber opens at Banfill-Locke Center
<br />for the Arts (BLCA) on Tuesday, April 23rd and runs through May
<br />lrt'. Visitors to the galleries will be offered new perspectives of
<br />everyday objects and common YisuaI phenomena.
<br />
<br />In the paintings and dl'ClWings of Alexis Kuhr, the world is Q
<br />concoction of fractured images - dots, lines, morsels of color, light,
<br />and dark. New meaning is wrought from the patterns and shapes of
<br />everyday objects and sightings in the fragmented pieces of color and
<br />in the repetition of form which surrounds us all. Kuhr's work is
<br />understated, delicately ruminative. Kuhr, Q faculty member in the
