City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />April 11, 2007 <br /> <br />with the CSAH 14 Widening Project as recommended by P&Z. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />3.15th Annual Garage Sale Days/Clean-up Days/Usage of SCORE Funds. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson explained that the proposal was to take accept a specific <br />number of the listed items and the use of SCORE funds to fully subsidize the costs of <br />disposal of those items. <br /> <br />A discussion ensued on how to monitor the number of items accepted. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Broussard, to <br />approve the 15th Annual Garage Sale Days/Clean-up Days Usage of SCORE Funds <br />with the understanding that staff will set some limits on the number of pieces that <br />homeowners may dispose of for free. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />4.Improvement of Streets – (Project Schedule Res. #07-013 Calling for Public <br />Hearing). <br /> <br />a.Old Mill Road <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson explained petitions and waivers from the property owners on <br />the west side of Old Mill Road were received, whereas property owners on the east side <br />were not in favor of improving the road. He referred Council to the expedited schedule <br />and explained how the steps that would be involved in the improvement. He suggested <br />that Council may want to have the public hearing at its regular meeting of May 9, 2007. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reported staff drafted a resolution for Council’s review. He <br />commented a decision on whether sidewalks would be included is needed. <br /> <br /> Discussion on street improvement projects ensued. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Paar, to approve <br />Resolution #07-013, a Resolution Calling for a Public Hearing for the Construction <br />of Street Improvements of Old Mill Road, as presented. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reported he received a proposal to conduct an appraisal to <br />measure the improvement and value on the property to the east of Old Mill Road. He <br />stated the cost to appraise both properties would be $1,500. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Lee, to direct the <br />City Attorney to request the appraisals of the two properties East of Old Mill Road, <br />not to exceed the cost of $1,500. Vote: 4 Ayes 1 Nay (Broussard) Motion carried. <br /> <br />Page 7 of 10 <br />
