City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />April 11, 2007 <br /> <br /> <br />b.Sorel Street & Goiffon Road <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson explained that the best option for an interim fix for Sorel <br />Street and Goiffon Road would cost approximately $12,000. He commented that if a full <br />road improvement were completed, it would cost about $300,000. <br /> <br /> A discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard, seconded by Council Member Lee, to <br />approve the Temporary Fix of Sorel Street and Goiffon Road per the <br />Recommendation and Explanation of the City Administrator and Defer the Final <br />Public Improvements. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />5.Resolution #07-014 – Approving Plans and Specifications and Calling for Bids – <br />Fairview Street. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reported a bid notice was submitted, the documents are signed <br />by the property owners agreeing to participate in the cost, and the easement is signed. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to approve <br />Resolution #07-014, a Resolution Approving Plans and Specifications and Ordering <br />th <br />Advertisement for Bids on Improvements for Fairview Street between 20 Avenue <br />th <br />and a Point Approximately 800 Feet East of 20 Avenue. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />6.Parks and Recreation Committee Recommendations to Purchase Skate Park <br />Equipment from Spohncrete Ranch, Inc. through Minnesota Wisconsin <br />Playground Inc. in an amount not to exceed $17,474 (Three Spohncrete Pieces for <br />Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park) – An additional proposal for associated <br />installation costs will be forwarded to Council for consideration. <br /> <br />Councilmember Lee explained three pieces of equipment were removed from the park <br />because they did not hold up to the weather. He stated the proposed concrete equipment <br />is much quieter and permanent and would be coated with an anti-graffiti coating. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Lee, to approve the <br />Parks and Recreation Committee’s Recommendations to Purchase Skate Park <br />Equipment from Spohncrete Ranch, Inc. through Minnesota Wisconsin Playground <br />Inc. in an amount not to exceed $17,474 All in favor.
