City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />May 9, 2007 <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, Seconded by Council Member Paar, to approve <br />the Bonestroo Proposal for Project Observation/Inspection CSAH 14, as presented. <br />Vote: 5 Ayes, 1 Nay (Council Member Brousssard-Vickers) Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />5.Resolution #07-017 Accepting Bids and Awarding Project – Fairview Street <br />Project. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to approve <br />Resolution #07-017 Accepting Bids and Awarding the Fairview Street Project. <br />Gustafson Excavating submitted the low bid of $218,721.25. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br /> <br />1.City Administrator Larson <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reported that the removal of trees and brush by Xcel Energy <br />on the Clearwater right-of-way is nearly done. The utility line relocation is expected in <br />June. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra asked about St. Genevieve’s and their understanding of what was being <br />asked of them by way of easements. City Administrator Larson replied he would discuss <br />this issue with them further. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reported that a Beard Group developer agreement associated <br />with the redevelopment of the downtown area would be available for review at Council <br />next meeting and he recommended that a work session be scheduled. He anticipated that <br />the agreement would be circulated to the Council members by Friday, May 11, 2007. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Councilmember Paar reported that City Administrator Larson, Councilmember Lakso, <br />and he attended the Fire Department Governing Board meeting. He advised that it was <br />recommended that the Fire District not use Quick Books software because it is not <br />detailed enough. He commented that payroll and other financial information is being <br />completed by the City of Circle Pines. He stated that the Fire Department applied for <br />grants through FEMA to replace outdated equipment and software. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reported that the Planning and Zoning Commission would <br />hold a public hearing at their next meeting to discuss parking regulations, especially as it <br />relates to industrial parking. He stated that the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />anticipates a joint session with the Council at the June 5, 2007 meeting to have the <br />Planner present the background report regarding the updated Comprehensive Plan. <br />Page 8 of 9 <br />
