City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />May 23, 2007 <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to <br />approve the May 9, 2007 City Council meeting minutes as amended. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />V. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br /> <br />1.City of Centerville May 10, 2007 through May 23, 2007 Claims. <br /> <br />2.Centennial Fire Department Claims through May 16, 2007. <br /> <br />3.Centennial Lakes Police Department Claims through May 10, 2007. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard seconded by Council Member Paar to <br />approve the Consent Agenda as amended. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />VI. AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br />1.Commemorative Merchandise for Sesquicentennial (Tabled from Previous <br />Meeting) <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson directed Council to the Staff memo with a breakdown of <br />commemorative merchandise costs. He stated there is interest from businesses to <br />contribute to the commemorative items. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Paar to direct <br />Staff to move forward with the pins and fishing lures, not to exceed a cost of $1,500 <br />and to look for a sponsor for the lures. Vote: 4 Ayes, 1 Nay (Broussard) Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Proposal of Mr. Randy Larson, Can Dad Camera, Sesquicentennial Photos <br /> <br />Mr. Randy Larson presented the new budget proposal for the Sesquicentennial photos. He <br />summarized that the costs of items one through seven and reported a total of $1427.00. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Councilmember Broussard asked Mr. Larson if Can Dad Camera had insurance. <br /> <br />Mr. Larson replied he did not; however, the pilot carries insurance. He stated that he <br />would be raising prices significantly due to the need for new equipment and a re-analysis <br />of the cost of doing business. <br />Page 5 of 8 <br />
