City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />May 23, 2007 <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Broussard, to <br />approve Can Dad Camera budget items 1, 3, 5, 6, and 7 with payment made as the <br />work is accomplished; Can Dad Camera to purchase general liability insurance <br />prior to the event adding the City as an additionally insured on the policy at a cost <br />to the City. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br />1.Resolution #07-XXX; A Resolution Declaring Adequacy of Petition for <br />Improvement of Part of Old Mill Road <br /> <br />City Attorney Glaser suggested that Council reconsider adopting this Resolution as it is <br />not necessary to adopt it. He explained the timeline and issues involved should the <br />resolution be adopted. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />No motion was made. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Resolution #07-018; A Resolution Ordering Improvement of Part of Old Mill <br />Road <br /> <br />Councilmember Lee commented that he struggled with this, understands this project <br />would happen, and because the property has the potential to become many lots, the <br />assessment is what it is. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Paar, to approve <br />Resolution #07-018; A Resolution ordering improvement of part of Old Mill Road. <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilmember Broussard commented that if the scope was limited to the north property <br />line, the three property owners on the west side of the road would be responsible for <br />100% of the assessment. She stated that the preliminary numbers are apt to change after <br />the final bids are in. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br /> <br />3.Consider Bids for Hidden Spring Park, 1601 LaMotte Drive <br /> <br />City Engineer Statz discussed the bids received for Hidden Spring Park. He stated that he <br />listed the alternative bids depending upon what work is done: Alternative #1: <br />Transplanting the Lilacs, Alternative 2: Install four Picnic Tables including one <br />handicapped table, and Alternative 3: Shoreline Restoration.
