Motion CIU1ietl rmtmimously. <br /> <br />Vice-Chairperson AIiJ.und~ has spoken to Mr. Peder Peterson, Hugo Lions, regarding the tables <br />that are in the Hugo parks as they are very heavy, maintenanCe free tables that Vice-Cbairperson <br />Amundsen noticed while at Good Neighbor Days. Mr. Peterson said they previously bad <br />wooden tables that required arm,>>1 scraping and pajnti"S and were co~y being moved as <br />they were so light They replaced those with maintenanee free tables made of recycled materials, <br />but they were still too light and were being moved and vandalized also. The tables they currently <br />have are heavy enough that they do not have to be bolted down. They purchased 8 - 10 tables for <br />under $10,000 that came unassembled and were put together by Hugo's Public Works. Mr. <br />peterson gave Chairperson Amundsen the contact information and hcp will get more details. The <br />COJroftitt"8 felt a motion needed to be made at this meeting as they will not meet again until after <br />Fete des Lacs. <br /> <br />Motion was made by ChairpersOn Seeley, seconded by CoJDJDittee Member SelaDder to <br />reeoJDDlend to City CouneO the approval of pienie tables based on research done by Vice- <br />Chairperson AmUDdsen and Staff not to exceed 510,000. Motion carried VBABInIOUlly. <br /> <br />Council Member Lee reported the work at Hidden Spring is on schedule and should be completed <br />OD time. Vic&-ChairpersoD Amundsen was concerned the dtainage overflow for the largo rain <br />garden is about 4" too high above grade and bas notifiec:1 the City ~n~. <br /> <br />Committee Member Lee said the pavilions are in, but the one for Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park <br />was delivered scratched. It will be put up, but replaced when the company . gets the replacement <br />pieces, at no charge to the City. The co~ would be that the bare metal would easily rust. <br /> <br />Committee Member Lee asked for the committee's support in inviting Ollie & Company back for <br />another demonstrationlcom.petition during Fete des laQs.
