Although signs already exist stating "NO PARKING, NO TRESSPASSING-PRIVATE PROPERTY" they are not working. People are still fishing in this location. (& If you anticipate that you will have overnight guest(s) or your own vehicle will be temporar- ily parked in the street, please contact City Hall between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and we will be happy to provide you with a free parking permit. Just provide us with the registered owner, year, make, model, color and license plate num- ber. Tuesday & Thursday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (or sunset if earlier) PARKS & RECREATION UPDATE New play equipment has been installed at Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park. Check it out, enjoy and have fun!! The City has closed on the property located at 1601 LaMotte Drive. A gazebo, picnic tables, fire pits and a trail connection are planned. Keep your eyes open for these new amenities. Yes, events such as this are brought to you by the Parks and Recreation Committee with assistance from local businesses that volunteered their time to be ticket outlets. THANK YOU! You too could become involved in local community events such as this by becoming a member of the Committee. The Committee has two (2) seats that are available and just waiting for enthusiastic individuals to participate. The Committee meets the first Wednesday of each month. If you are interested, please contact City Hall at (651) 429- 3232. fiftITS BEEN HOT, BUT PLEASE , REMEMBER LAWN & GARDEN WATERING REQUIREMENTS Lawn and garden watering may only take place before 10:00 a.m. or after 6:00 p.m. The odd even rule applies for all watering. If your address ends in an even number, you may water only on even numbered days. If your address ends in an odd number, you may water only on odd num- bered days. If you have newly installed sod, you are exempt from this lawn & garden watering requirements for a period of two weeks. The City's peak water flow coincides with the hottest part of the day when watering is least efficient. For that reason the City will begin issuing citations to those that violate the 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. watering ban. Did you know that recently the City pumped Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 2,507,000 gallons of water from July 5—July 7, Sunday Noon to 5 p.m. 2006 for resident usage. Please remember that compost makes excellent black dirt for those flowerbeds that are in bloom and are so pretty! HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE FACILITY The Household Hazardous Waste Facility may be con- tacted at (763) 323-5730, and is located at 3230 - 101st Avenue Northeast, Blaine. Their hours are as follows: Wednesdays 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Fridays 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please take the time to do the right thing rather than just placing these items in the regular trash. We all must do our part! Please do your share by conserving your water usage. RECREATIONAL FIRES Recreation fires must be contained in a fire pit or a portable fireplace and may not exceed 3x3x3. You may only burn clean, fire- wood and please remember to keep your fire pit at least five (5) feet from the side lot line and ten (30) feet from the rear lot line.
