Damian Kussian i General Public i 3 . -7-Workshops r. .-.....-. - .. ............ i -21 studentS Highlights Cen ISD 12 project We were, ntacted by Cathy Wyland, the Director of Community Services and Communications, for the centennial School District. She asked for NMTVs help with assessing equipment needs, developing a plan for replacement, and any other assistance we would be able to offer. We met with Cathy and two of her staff members to determine their needs and goals. Rick visited their facility and determined that due to their history of problems, and the complexity and uncertainty of their current system that a total rebuild of the audiolvideo facility makes the most sense. Rick will be meeting with vendors to explore various possibilities. Cathy and her team are also interested in producing a monthly program with school district administrators. Originally, she envisioned purchasing equipment to make production on site possible. staff suggested that they simply utilize the NMTV facility, which would save them a great deal of money. T .J. has already been assigned to instruct them on the operation of the Tricaster system in studio B. Blaine youth wrestling We are currently working with Ben Moody, Youth Program Director, Blaine Youth Wrestling, to teach his group to shoot and edit their events. Originally Ben contacted us for assistance in putting together a series of training DVDs for his wrestlers. We were eager to help and signed him up for classes. Ben and his team are finished with classes and have begun checking out the cameras. In addition to producing the training DVDs they will be taping the actual youth wrestling matches for playback on channel 14. Blaine wrestling coach, Ben Moody during camera class. Local Decision 2007 Danika and Ben produced several candidate forums in October. They taped forums for the Uno Lakes Mayoral, the Circle Pines City Council, the Spring Lake Park School District, and the Anoka Hennepin School District # 2 races. We gave the Spring Lake Park School District a copy of their forum so they could play it on their channel.
