Providing content for Blaine's website
Danika, Ben, and Damian have worked to create programming that will be provided via Blaine's
website utilizing their Granicus system. Damian created the animated intro, and Danika and Ben
put together a series of City Scope stories relating to Blaine.

Programming notes
. October City Scope stories included the lino lakes street reconstruction referendum,
Minnesota Commissioner of Education, Alice Seagren's visit to Blaine High School's
Center for Engineering Math and Science, and JohnsvilleElementary School's Minnesota
School of Excellence Award.
. City Scope is now using motion graphics for all graphicS pages and 10 keys.
· The new digital cameras have been
installed in studio A, making all of
our programs look really good.
. I don't know how they do it, but
somehow. Ben and Danika got an
interviewwith Jerry Seinfeld for the
October episode of Inside
Entertainment.

New music on channels
We are currently working to get locally
produced music on our access channels
between programming. Each month a new
local group serves as the guest "house band" Ben, some cheerleaders, and Jerry Seinfeld.
for that particular episode of Inside
Entertainment. Most of these groups are
very interested in having us play their music on the channel. The first step was to develop a
Music Release and Unrestricted License form, which, thanks to our attorney steve Guzzetta, we
have. The form has been forwarded to many local groups, and hopefully soon we'll have another
way to highlight local talent via our community access channels.

Meetings with legislators
I was able to meet with Representative Scott Kranz on October 181to. We discussed the current
form of House File 2351 and the various ways that it would hurt community television.
Representative Kranz was very sympathetic to our concerns, and supportive of community
television in general. He thanked me for the information I provided and asked that I keep in touch
if the legislation progresses. I have also been contacted by Representative Tom Tillberry's office.
They are trying to schedule a meeting in mid-November.

PR bits and pieces
. Gathered images and worked on curriculum for Final Cut studio 2 class
. Created a new Sports Den promo
. Created a new listing of classes for the Anoka County Community Ed publication
. Worked on new website content and format with consultant
. Created a new Artist Spotlight
. Made an intra animation for Blaine/City Scope web programming

Computer assistance
Centerville
· Installed back-up decks

Production equipment consulting
Spring Lake Park
. Followed up on plans to upgrade the AN equipment. The council will be revamping
the chamber area and AN room. The city has asked that Rick be a part of the
planning process.
Centennial ISO 12
. Met with Cathy Wyland, Jan Johnson and Gail Schrooten to hear their concerns and
get a feel for what they want and need.
. Toured facility. Wrd.e and submitted preliminary report regarding equipment
replacement project.
. Scheduled to meet with vendor on site to start the design and bidding process.
