City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />November 28, 2007 <br /> <br />Councilmember Lee stated in a perfect world he would like to see them out of work. <br /> <br />Ms. Moore reported that the Alexandra House would hold a Holiday Open House on <br />December 18, 2007. She stated this is an opportunity for the public tour the facility and <br />to understand what they do. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Mr. Mike Thinesin, Centerville Lions Accounting for Fete de Lacs City Donation <br /> <br />Mr. Thinesin reported on the City of Centerville Fete des Lacs expenses. He stated that a <br />separate account was set up strictly for the Fete des Lacs. He reported a remaining <br />balance of $160.00 and requested Council decide what should be done with this money. <br /> <br />Councilmember Lee questioned whether the remaining balance was enough to keep the <br />account open. <br /> <br />Mr. Thinesin replied that it would remain open. <br /> <br />Consensus reached by Council was to leave the balance in the account to roll over for <br />next year’s events. <br /> <br />CouncilmemberLee requested that Mr. Thinesin provide information on the budget for <br /> <br />the 2008 Fete des Lacs to Mr. Kieselhorst. <br /> <br /> <br />3.Ms. Lachelle Williams, YMCA Update <br /> <br />Ms. Williams presented an update on the YMCA and shared their excitement about <br />opening their new facility in Lino Lakes. She stated they have been in open for four <br />months and are very excited about the programs available for youth. She stated the <br />building includes a 41,000 square foot facility with swimming pools, sauna, fitness area, <br />kids stop area, teen center, teen nights, senior programs, and a plan for a whirlpool. She <br />mentioned the pricing options and community events. Ms. Williams commented that the <br />activities are listed on the website. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra stated that the Parks and Recreation committee might want to partner with <br />the YMCA. <br /> <br />VII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br />1.Environmental Assessment Worksheet Response and Comments <br /> <br /> <br />a.Resolution #07-047 – Adopting Findings of Fact and Record of Decision – <br />EAW Downtown Redevelopment <br /> <br />City Engineer Statz presented Resolution 07-047 along with the responses received, the <br />findings of fact found, and the results. <br />Page 4 of 9 <br />
