City of Centerville
Council Meeting Minutes
November 14, 2007

a.Resolution #07-044 – Scheduling Public Hearing to Consider Vacation of
Easements

City Administrator Larson informed Council that the request included a variance because
the lakeside frontage did not meet the minimum requirement of 100 feet. He displayed
the preliminary plat of Sorel Street and explained the request. He pointed out the location
of the easements to be vacated.

Discussion ensued.

Councilmember Broussard noted that the adjoining property owner believers that there is
a survey discrepancy on one corner of the plat. She stated that she wanted to make sure
all the variances required are done at the same time.

City Administrator Larson replied that Council is only looking at the lake frontage
variance at this time, but that it is possible that setback non-conformities could be created
if the survey corner moves.

Mr. Lloyd Hanson, 1588 Sorel Street, commented the two surveyors communicated and
the amount is ten inches rather than two feet. He reported the surveyors and property
owners are working together to resolve this issue.

Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Paar, to approve
Resolution #07-044, a Resolution Scheduling a Public Hearing to Consider Vacation
of Easements.
