Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />8.Resolution #07-046 – Authorizing the Mayor to Sign and the Submission of the <br />Safe Routes to School Application (CSAH 14/Dupre Road Underpass) <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson explained that the City applied for this grant last year but was <br />not successful. He stated that staff would like to apply for this grant again. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to approve <br />Resolution #07-046, a Resolution Authorizing the Mayor to Signand the Submission <br /> <br />of a Safe Routes to School Grant Application to the Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br /> <br />1.City Administrator Larson <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reported that the Comprehensive Plan meeting held on <br />November 13, 2007 resulted in a good turnout. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reported that the paving of Old Mill Road is complete. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reported on moving the power lines in the downtown area. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Chauncey Barett Gardens – Senior Housing/Rental Rates for 2008 <br /> <br />Mayor Capra reported that City staff received a letter signed by the residents of Chauncey <br />Barett Gardens regarding possible rent increases. She explained that the residents believe <br />they are on a level with current market value rates for the area. She reported the residents <br />request that their rental rates for 2008 be held at the current level. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson explained that the funding programs that financed the project <br />establish the method of setting rates. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra recommended sending a response to the residents of Chauncey Barett <br />Gardens acknowledging receipt of their petition. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson replied he would draft a letter for Mayor Capra’s signature. <br /> <br /> <br />3.I35/WE Coalition <br /> <br />Councilmember Lakso reported that the Coalition decided to do an inventory of concerns. <br />She stated Anoka County is taking the lead on this. <br /> <br />Page 7 of 8 <br />
