CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />JOINT WORK SESSION <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION & CITY COUNCIL <br />August 7, 2007 <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission <br />held a Work Session meeting on August 7, 2007, at 7:36 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENT: <br /> Mayor Mary Capra <br />Council Member Linda Broussard <br />Planning and Zoning Commission Chair Brian Hanson <br />Vice-Chair Jennefer Klennert-Hunt <br />Commissioner Ben Fehrenbacher <br />Commissioner D. Love <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />I.COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT REVIEW <br /> <br /> <br />1.Bonestroo & Associates <br /> <br />Mr. Brandon Slotterback, Bonestroo & Associates, presented the updated Comprehensive <br />Plan goals and policies. <br /> <br />Mr. Slotterback explained that the goals are intended to provide a vision of what <br />Centerville will be when the plan is fully implemented, the polices are implementation <br />steps to achieve the goals, and together, they provide an important foundation for <br />developing Land Use Alternatives. <br /> <br />Mr. Slotterback requested that Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />members answer the following three questions about goals and policies: <br /> <br />1) Is there a topic missing among the goals? The City Council and Planning and <br />Zoning Commission members agreed the list was adequate. <br /> <br />2) Is there a planning initiative missing or is there a topic that fits under one of <br />the existing goals that the City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission <br />feels is not addressed or not adequately addressed? Mr. Slotterback noted the <br />changes recommended by City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission <br />members. <br /> <br />3) Is there a goal or policy that the City Council and Planning and Zoning <br />Commission members do not agree with?
