City of Centerville February 9, 2005 Council Meeting Minutes City Attorney Hoeft indicated that he does not feel that a parkland appraisal would be cost effective. Mayor Capra indicated there was some mention of a price reduction if the City were to agree to maintenance on some properties the Utility owns. Mayor Capra indicated that there are DNR matching funds grants available for the purchase of parklands and Mr. Meyer has said he has time to submit the grant before the March 31, 2005 deadline. Mayor Capra asked for authorization to negotiate a deal with Mr. Tschida. Council agreed. Council Member Lakso asked how the Park Commission feels about the purchase. Council Member Lee indicated that the decision depends upon the price. City Attorney Hoeft indicated that if the City purchases the fee title to the property the City would not need a permit for the dock or fishing pier as long as the structure does not interfere with the flowage easement. 2. 1540 Peltier Lake Drive City Attorney Hoeft indicated that he, public works, the police, fire department, and Anoka County Adult Social Services made entry into the home and found it to be acceptable and the City issued a Certificate of Occupancy. Council asked Staff to keep on top of things at that property to ensure it does not deteriorate to previous levels. 3. Local Government Officials Meeting Mayor Capra indicated she attended this meeting and provided a brief update for Council noting that there are upcoming meetings concerning CDBG funds that she has asked Mr. Meyer to attend. 4. Halvorson Concrete, Inc., Letter Dated February 2, 2005 Sidewalk City Attorney Hoeft indicated that the sidewalk is an accepted public improvement and not theirs to remove.
