City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />May 11, 2005 <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that he and Mr. Meyer had attended a meeting of the <br />St. Paul Water Works and did not receive positive feedback. He then said that Staff will <br />continue to work on this matter and report to Council. <br /> 3. Downtown Redevelopment Planning - Update <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that Staff would be brining a proposed contract for <br />consideration in the near future. <br /> 4. League of Minnesota Cities Regional Meeting <br /> Capra provided information on the meeting for council. <br /> 5. Planning and Zoning Training <br /> City Administrator Larson indicated he would email the information to Council. <br />Mayor Capra indicated that Council Member Terway needed to be declared the official <br />liaison to Planning and Zoning. <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to appoint <br />Council Member Terway as the Council Liaison to Planning and Zoning. All in <br />favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> Council Member Paar asked about the dredging of the channel in the back of Parkview. <br />City Engineer Scheulender indicated that there was more work to be done and they were <br />to complete it by the end of the week. He then said there are other areas with work <br />remaining to be done. <br />Council Member Paar provided an overview of the EDC Business Appreciation Dinner <br />and thanked Council Members and Staff for attending. <br />Mayor Capra thanked all the Staff for the hard work getting things ready and noted that <br />Ms. Stephan did a lot of running on that day. <br />Council Member Paar commented that Mr. Fischer had said that he knows this road is <br />hard and not everyone agrees but he is pleased with the City and its representatives and <br />even though the County and City may not agree things have been handled well and he <br />thanked everyone for that. <br />Mayor Capra indicated that Scott Ebel is looking for ideas for Grand Marshall and asked <br />residents to contact him with ideas. <br />Council recessed to closed executive session at 8:00 p.m. <br />Page 8 of 8 <br /> <br />
