City of Centerville Council Meeting Minutes May 11, 2005 VIII. OLD BUSINESS 1. Ordinance #13 – Liquor (Fines – Information Requested) This item was for information only as there are no changes required. 2. Slalom Water Ski Course – Peltier Lake City Administrator Larson indicated that the Anoka County Sheriff asked if Centerville wished to comment on the request for slalom course to be installed for the season primarily on the Lino Lakes side of the lake. Council discussed the slalom course and City Attorney Hoeft advised that Centerville has no jurisdiction or authority over this request. Council Member Lee commented that whether the course is in Lino Lakes or Centerville he does not think it is City business because the Department of Natural Resources granted the permit and water skiing is a legal act on public waters. He then said the lake is big enough to share and he thinks people need to show tolerance and cooperation. 3. Anoka County/City of Centerville Memorandum of Understanding (CSAH 14/Main Street Widening Project) Mayor Capra indicated that Staff has done a good job of revising the Memorandum of th Understanding but she would like to clarify 20 Avenue north and south. City Administrator Larson indicated he could clarify it rather than leave it out. Mayor Capra indicated the City would like to maintain the access to the north for Ro-So and shorten the median to maintain access and keep those two driveways open. The median is not to go any farther than that first driveway to the north. Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Lakso to authorize Staff to send the Memorandum of Understanding to Anoka County as amended. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. IX.
