City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />July 27, 2005 <br /> 2. Council Chamber Rental Policy <br />Mayor Capra suggested Council review its policy on renting chambers out to those using <br />it for profit meetings. <br />Council discussed the matter and agreed to continue to allow for profits to rent chambers <br />for the listed fee but asked Staff to bring a proposal for adding a damage deposit. <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> 1. City Administrator – Mr. Dallas Larson <br /> Nothing further to report. <br />2.1601 LaMotte Drive <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that the City did not receive the grant for the <br />purchase of the property and Staff continues to seek other funding sources. <br />3. Downtown Redevelopment Planning <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that Staff is working on the hire of a consultant and <br />will provide further report at the next meeting. <br /> 4. CSAH 14/Main Street Project/County Response to Draft MOU <br />City Administrator Larson explained that Staff has been waiting for information and <br />response to the City’s requested changes to the MOU but has not yet received anything. <br />Council discussed the matter and directed Staff to send a letter to Commissioner <br />Sivarajah and copy the rest of the Commission. <br />5. I35 WE Coalition Meeting <br />Mayor Capra updated Council on the meeting noting that the bridge area was discussed <br />and, while the other cities agreed with the plan, she pointed out that the plan does nothing <br />for Centerville’s businesses. <br />6. National Night Out <br />Mayor Capra noted that National Night out is Tuesday, August 2, 2005 and invited all <br />residents to attend the festivities at the Park. She then noted that the Park admission will <br />be free that night and the church will have the grills going and provide beverages. Those <br />attending should bring a dish to pass and meat to grill. <br />Page 5 of 6 <br /> <br />
