City of Centerville <br />February 2, 2005 <br />Council Joint Work Session Meeting Minutes <br />Chairperson Hanson stated that they have. It was stated that when <br />CSAH14 is widened, snowmobile access will cease. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers stated that the current <br />snowmobile ordinance is a good ordinance; however, snowmobile <br />riders and enforcement are the problem. Chairperson Hanson <br />stated that the City has changed vastly in the last five years and <br />ordinances should be on a review cycle of every three to five years. <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson LaBlanc requested that lighting be considered in <br />new ordinances or amended language to current ordinance and that <br />he previously provided an ordinance from Boseman, MT. <br /> <br />Chairperson Hanson introduced Jeff Hanzal, Jennefer Klennert-Hunt, Tom Wood, Bob <br />Wright and stated that D. Love was unable to attend this evening. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra expressed great appreciation to all committees/commissions. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra questioned whether Mr. Meyer had any additional information or <br />comments. Mr. Meyer stated that he looked forward to working with all the <br />Committees/Commissions. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar left at 8:06 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />4.Centennial Lakes Police Building – Council Member Lee <br /> <br />Mayor Capra asked Council Member Lee if he desired to provide the update. <br />Council Member Lee declined due to lack of voice. Mayor Capra provided a <br />brief presentation regarding the proposed Centennial Lakes Police Building and <br />associated expenditures. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra requested that Mr. Meyer discuss the sales tax exemption bill that <br />has been submitted for legislative consideration. Mr. Meyer stated that <br />Representative Phil Krinkie is going to entertain same. Planning and Zoning <br />Commissioner Wright stated that he had some concerns regarding the way <br />Representative Ray Vandeveer wrote the bill and its date being moved up. Mr. <br />Meyer stated that the current bills language contains the date of July 1 as the date <br />that the bill will take effect and Mr. Meyer felt that this could be moved up. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra requested a brief biography of all Council Members. All Council <br />Members complied along with Mr. Palzer and Ms. Bender. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra requested an update from Mr. Palzer regarding the water tower. Mr. <br />Palzer stated that there were problems with the installation of the bottom sphere <br />today; however, it should be installed tomorrow. <br />Page 7 of 8 <br /> <br />
