<br />PAYMENT OF CLAIMS <br /> <br />The City of Centerville January 29 - February 25 <br />MOTION by Councilmember Helmbrecht to approve the receipts and disbursements for January <br />29, through February 25, 1998. Motion seconded by Councilmember Brenner. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />The Centennial Fire District - February 3, 1998 <br />MOTION by Councilmember Brenner to approve the disbursements for February 3, 1998. <br />Motion seconded by Councilmember Helmbrecht. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The Centennial Fire District - February 18. 1998 <br />MOTION by Councilmember Helmbrecht to approve the Centennial Fire District disbursements <br />of February 18, 1998. Motion seconded by Councilmember Brenner. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />SET AGENDA <br />Police Department <br /> <br />MOTION by Mayor Wilharber to approve the set agenda with noted changes. Motion seconded <br />by Councilmember Helmbrecht. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PETffiONS AND COMPLAINTS <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />20th Avenue Sanitary Sewer and Watermain Improvements - Revised Proposed Schedule <br />Mr. Nyberg briefed the Council on the proposed 20th Avenue utility project schedule. <br /> <br />Councilmember Laura Powers arrived at 6: 15 P.M. <br /> <br />Mr. Nyberg noted he received significant input from public works and Mr. Gerald Rehbein on the <br />placement of hydrants and valves for the 20th Avenue improvements. In addition, if the Council <br />consents to forge forward with the 20th Avenue project, then the City will request Metropolitan <br />Council approve a sanitary sewer extension. Mr. Nyberg stressed the City is not under any liability <br />to continue with this project. The Council discussed authorizing the plans and receiving proposals <br />as per the engineer's recommendation. <br /> <br />Councilmember Brenner clarified the intent of past council minutes which reflected Mayor <br />Wilharber's motion to commit $150,000 of city funds toward sanitary sewer and watermain <br />improvements not 21st Avenue road construction. Mr. March understood the Council voiced <br />interest to commit the funds to help the industrial park property to be more marketable, therefore, <br />drawing businesses into Centerville. <br /> <br />2 <br />
