<br />City Wellhead Protection Representative <br />Mr. March reported the Anoka County wellhead protection project has three phases. The first <br />phase was planning, the second phase is technical and the third phase is implementation. <br />Moreover, Ms. Gaustad worked on the first phase and Mr. Palzer will be working on the last <br />phases. Mr. March requested Council's approval to have Mr. Palzer take over the second and <br />third phases of the wellhead project. <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilmember Buckbee to appoint Paul Palzer as the Anoka County Wellhead <br />Protection liaison for Centerville. Motion seconded by Councilmember Brenner. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber received a letter from Margaret Langfeld (Anoka County Commissioner) in <br />regards to the school crosswalk signs on Main Street. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />1. Stipend per meeting for Cable Operator $30.00/meeting or $10.00/hr whichever is <br />more depending on the meeting length. <br /> <br />~ The deputy clerks - Anniversary Date February 1. step increases to #5 <br />The receptionist - Anniversary Date February 11. step increases to #2 <br />Both employees received satisfactory annual performance reviews <br /> <br />3. Recommendation from Park and Recreation to approve Doug Porter to fill the Park <br />and Recreation vacancy. <br /> <br />4. Firefighters Pension Increase from $2400 to $3000/year. This increase was approved <br />by the Fire Steering Committee and needs to be approved by each City. <br /> <br />5. Appearance and Dress Policy (Exhibit A) <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilmember Buckbee to remove the appearance and dress policy (#5) from the <br />consent agenda. Motion seconded by Councilmember Brenner. Buckbee aye, Brenner aye, <br />Wilharber aye, Helmbrecht aye, Powers nay. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilmember Buckbee probed the Council about complying with the same employee dress <br />code. The Council did not elect to be required to comply with a dress code. Councilmember <br />Powers questioned the public works' apparel requirements. Mr. March replied department heads <br />are responsible for bringing their dress code before the Council. <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilmember Buckbee to approve the consent agenda and dress code. Motion <br />seconded by Councilmember Brenner. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />9 <br />
