In addition she requested the impact on the community's <br />shoreland, the Planning and Zoning meeting minutes and a report which addresses the <br />comprehensive plan questions on page 57. Councilmember Brenner cautioned the Council; the <br />City may be setting a precedence by allowing this amendment at this time. <br /> <br />Mr. Fisher stated the Council set the precedence during the November Council meeting when a <br />resolution was developed directly because of their desire to amend the comprehensive plan. <br />Councilmember Brenner noted the City received final approval from the Metropolitan Council <br />just prior to the November meeting. In addition, the Council needed to set guidelines during the <br />meeting regardless whether or not the amendment was proposed that night. <br /> <br />MOTION by Mayor Wilharber, seconded by Councilmember Powers to table the Comprehensive <br />Plan Amendment until Council has additional information to support the amendment. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION by Mayor Wilharber, seconded by Councilmember Brenner that the Comprehensive <br />Plan Amendment be placed back on the next Council meeting agenda. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />CPLPD - CSO - Service to Centerville <br />Officer Jensen was present to update the Council on the COPS grant and a potential Community <br />Service Officer (CSO) in Centerville. Officer Jensen reported the COPS grant should be <br />approved which will enable the Police Department to add an additional officer (s). Officer Jensen <br />reported Waterworks plans to have motorcycle ice races on January 18, and 25 on Centerville <br />Lake. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber plans to attend the Officers meeting on Tuesday, January 22, at 4:00 p.rn. Also, <br />Mayor Wilharber plans to meet on January 20 or 22, with the Lino Lakes, Circle Pines and <br />Lexington Mayors to discuss a joint quad city's Police Department. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />EDC Committee Report <br />Councilmember Brenner reported the EDC Committee received notice the Minnesota Fire <br />Fighters Museum may be interested in refurbishing the old Centerville Fire Engine. However, the <br />EDC will keep the Council posted with any new developments. <br /> <br />Councilmember Powers left at 8:20 p.m. <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATORS REPORT <br /> <br />Mr. March reported two bank institution representatives voiced interest in locating in Centerville. <br />One representative dropped off sketch plans for a proposed bank west of Eagle Pass.
