<br />MOTION by Mayor Wilharber, seconded by Councilmember Powers to table action on Local <br />Government Consultants recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Engineering Proposal Information <br />Mr. March briefed the Council on his preliminary engineering proposal findings with other cities <br />in Anoka County. <br /> <br />MOTION by Councilmember Helmbrecht, seconded by Councilmember Powers to table the <br />engineering proposal to allow Council time to review the submitted information. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Nyberg and Mr. Terry Mauer ofHR. Green shared their desire to service the Centerville <br />community. Mr. Ralph Russell, President ofHR. Green voiced a desire that their firm be <br />considered during the interview process. Mr. Nyberg noted if the Council would be gracious <br />enough to interview H.R. Green along with the other firms, the Council can be confident that <br />HR. Green will stack up to other firms and exceed in areas as well. Mayor Wilharber commented <br />he appreciates receiving the Engineers' week in review. <br /> <br />1998 Appointments <br />MOTION by Councilmember Helmbrecht, seconded by Councilmember Powers to approve <br />resolution 98-01 with noted changes. Mr. March suggested Mayor Wilharber, Acting Mayor <br />Mary Jo Helmbrecht and City Administrator Jim March be the only ones authorized to sign <br />checks. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1998 Goals & Objectives <br />MOTION by Councilmember Powers, seconded by Councilmember Brenner to table the 1998 <br />Goals and Objectives. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Comprehensive Plan Amendment - Fruth and Fisher Properties <br />Mr. March briefed the Council on a comprehensive plan amendment request which would allow a <br />MUSA extension to service the property located at 7384 and 7396 Mill Road. Mr. March felt <br />there is just cause for the City to support the request since the property owners had expressed <br />previous written interest to the City to be included in the MUSA. Mr. March requested the <br />comprehensive plan amendment fee be waived, if Planning and Zoning or the City Council <br />initiates the plan amendment. Ms. Gaustad reported during the November 24, 1997 Council <br />meeting Councilmember Brenner moved to require any person (s) initiating an amendment <br />be responsible for paying for the amendment cost. <br /> <br />Councilmember Brenner did not favor waiving the amendment fee because the Council is not in <br />receipt enough information to make an educated decision.
