. Council Member Broussard Vickers suggested the City execute the agreement upon the expiration
of the renter's lease and offer Ms. Turcotte a higher price to give her an incentive to sell to the
City rather than to another party. City Attorney Hoeft suggested the City could approach the
renter to offer a settlement amount, which may be less expensive. However, this would notify the
renter of the City's intentions to purchase the property and the renter may insist on full payment of
relocation fees. City Attorney Hoeft suggested the City contact a relocation consultant for an
estimate of relocation fees in this instance. Mr. March indicated the appraiser had given him the
name of a relocation consultant whom he would contact.

Motion bv Council Member Sweeney. seconded by Council Member Nelson to table this
matter until Staff contacts a relocation consultant to provide information on possible
relocation fees involved if the City were to purchase the Turcotte property.
